Difference in Supported Operating Systems – VCC-300 only supports 32-bit Windows, while VCC-400 supports 32-bit Windows as well as 64-bit Windows, Apple Mac OS, and Linux
2. Difference in Data Transfer Speed
VCC-300 provides a maximum of 480Mbps, and in practice around 150Mbps data transfer speed with USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, while VCC-400 provides around 75~100Mbps data transfer speed in practice.
3. Difference in Device Recognition
The VCC-300 adapter is recognized as a different device for each different USB port used to connect to a computer (for instance, if there are two USB ports in a computer, then the VCC-300 adapter is recognized as different devices when connected to USB port #1, than when connected to USB port #2), while the VCC-400 is recognized as the same device no matter which USB port it connects to.
